Breathe Easy Marauders: What's the Deal on Smoke Free?
Our media partner and campus newspaper, The Silhouette reports on McMaster's announcment to make campus officially smoke-free by January 1st, 2018. This news was shocking and controversal for many, while relieving and optimistic for others. This also includes the Ron Joyce Centre in Burlington and any other McMaster owned facilities. Regardless of your stance, this regulation is bound to stir some big changes.
While this may be seen as a progressive decision for the university and a health-minded approach, continued conversation is encouraged and meaningful cooperation must be established with all parties involved while implementing new smoke-permitted zones in the surrounding city communities. Check out the Silhouette's full report here.
