The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA is a safe haven for animals without homes. The private non-profit charity serves a mix of urban and rural communities in protecting animals and their rights to be treated fairly. There’s a variety of ways you can get involved to help support our community SPCA. Volunteer your time, attend an event, donate online or adopt a new family member. You can even help out by buying Ti-Cats tickets and getting a great deal while you’re at it.

We had Melissa on MorningFile earlier this summer to chat about all the wonderful things they are doing for animals in the community. Registration is now open for the 28th Annual Wiggle Waggle Walk and they’d love if you got involved. Gather your friends, family, co-workers and dogs for a fun day filled with activities for everyone. You can meet Luna, who will be the Spokesdog for this year’s event, on August 28th. Come and learn her story and how donations made to the SPCA can help dogs like her.

Keep updated on their social media to ensure you don’t miss out on any action. Upcoming events include the following:

Aug 26: Meeting & Greet with Luna @ Ren’s Pet Depot

Aug 30: Food Truck Fundraiser @ Upper Gage Garage

Sep 5: Get Your Cat Fixed For Only $20 @ Hamilton/Burlington SPCA

Sep 10: Wiggle Waggle Walk @ Bayfront Park

Sep 21: Rabies/Microchip Clinic @ Hamilton/Burlington SPCA
