Steel City Studio is a collaborative art space that is providing small businesses, creators and just about anyone in the city a space to feel inspired and share resources! The space opened just last fall and has already expanded to 2 full co-creating studio and event spaces complete with full kitchens, a rooftop patio and tons of natural light. Nadine and Jenn joined us on MorningFile to chat all about how they created the space and the increasing benefit behind share economy spaces in the city!

We share some laughs and stories but also chat about how you can get involved with any new ideas you may have. The studio still has spots available if you are looking for a place to call home for your art, be sure to connect with them on Facebook and Instagram or come out to one of their many upcoming workshops and events.

This Saturday for 100in1Day they’ll be on James Street North doing a photo booth to support the shared economy. On June 10th from 1-4pm you can attend their Paint Nite Fundraiser, which is an awesome family friendly event in support of a community Dark Room! Steel City Studio will also be at the Hamilton Tool Library Birthday Bash and Fundraiser at the end of the month, June 25th from 11-4pm at CoBuild. Be sure to come by and say hello! Listen to our interview with Jenn and Nadine for more details below.
