Save the date! The Barton Village Festival is back and happening on June 24th again!

If you're unfamiliar with the event, let me fill you in. This festival is still relatively new and only in its third year, however it's getting bigger and better each year that it occurs. The general mission of the festival is to bring awareness to and celebrate the potential of Barton Street along with drawing on the assets located and established along the street. This is done by gathering local businesses, music performers, artists, and vendors in Woodlands Park for the Hamilton community to come together. In addition, the festival has a designated childrens area making it appropriate for families of all different ages.

Last year, we had Priya Moraes in the studio to tell us all about her experience in helping plan the festival. This year, we brought her back in a bit earlier and now she's making a call out for all of YOU to get involved! In order for the Barton Village Festival to run, it relies on a ton of great volunteers that take on a variety of different roles. Some of these include marketing roles, graphic designers, fundraising coordinators, and a lot more. If you're looking to get involved in something impactful, this is an amazing opportunity to do so! Additionally, businesses can become sponsors for the event and vendors can recieve a discount if they register before April 1st! You can find out more information by visiting the Barton Village Festival website here.

Since we had Priya in the studio a couple of times now, it only made sense that we got to know a bit more about her and her planning team! Be sure to check out our full radio interview below and our latest video as part of the 60 Seconds with CFMU series!
