Golden Hour Photo Show and Solecism Zine Launch at HAVN

This weekend at Art Crawl, stop by HAVN to see an incredible presentation of portrait photographs by Ariel Bader-Shamai. On October 13 at 7 pm, she will be presenting the photos as part of the Golden Hour photo show with an artist talk at 7:30pm. This launch will also be collaborating with the Solecism Zine launch in the same space! Zines and some of Ariel’s work will be available for purchase.

“Solecism is a new quarterly zine calling attention to the unexpected and inherent faults in film. With this series, we want to call attention to the photographs that aren’t “good” – the ones that would never be shared or printed.”

We had Ariel on MorningFile to chat a bit about the art community here in Hamilton and her work as a multi-platform artist. We chat about the significance of these photos from over the last 4 years. This is Ariel’s first solo show.
