Three years ago, The Liberators in Australia started the Eye Contact Experiment with the aim to bring people together, aside from their differences to put their phones down and share a moment of mindfulness. So far over 300 countries are participating on this day, and Hamilton will now be a part of the excitement for the first year ever. The photograph below states the number of cities participating.

In Gore Park (corner of King and James), family, friends and strangers will gather to unify and share eye contact with each other - even if it's just for a moment. Explore different means of connecting from sitting across one another on a yoga matt to sharing space in 2 separate hula hoops could happen. There's so much power in being human and mindful of where you are in a certain moment. This is a drop-in event and everyone is welcome. To officially register your participation in this event, go here or pop by the park on Saturday if you're curious.

The event is taking place Saturday, September 23rd at 11am and they are accepting volunteers! To get involved, go to their website at www.eyecontactexperiment.com
