Your Guide to Classical Music Shows in Hamilton this Summer
Classical music can be hard sometimes to find during the summer. Most orchestras start to wrap up their season by the end of May. This may be tradition going back to the days of when concert halls were too hot to sit in even during the night without air conditioning. Luckily, in Hamilton this is not the case. Here is my list of upcoming events in the Hammer that will tie you over until the next season starts in the fall.
Saint Joseph's Choir: Joined by members of the Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra present Mozart's Requiem

HPO Indie Series: Featuring Hanna Bech. Hanna is a professor of whimsy and a diviner of hooks, whose muse is a back flipping white ball of fluff. Her sound is classically influenced folk-pop with a flair for dramatic swagge

Brott Music Festival: Hot Jazz on the Water with Juno and Canadian Folk Music Award winner, Dominic Mancuso. Dominic will be presenting a multi-lingual repertoire taken from his last two cds; the Juno awarded ‘World Music Album of the Year’.

Brott Music Festival: Valerie's Favourites High Tea with Pianist, Valerie Tryon. World renowned pianist and great festival favourite Valerie Tryon performs her favourites! All made perfect with a delicious high tea of scones, clotted cream, finger sandwiches, squares and English tea.

Brott Music Festival: The Great Musical Impressionists with Violinist, Alexandre Da Costa. Impressionists masters Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel's works are performed by violin virtuoso Alexandre Da Costa, winner of the 2012 Juno Award for Classical Album of the Year.

Brott Music Festival: The World’s Best Chamber Music Series where pieces include Elgar String Serenade, Gounod Petite Symphonie for winds, and Arabic Dances for Tuba and Percussion by Scott Meister.
