What happens when you stick 3 band who barely know each other in a room and ask them Canada Day trivia? Check out our interview below with Oh Geronimo’s Ciarán Downes, Emma Van Dyk and Noah Thrall from Mount Farewell.

Catch Mount Farewell hit the stage at Spencer Smith Park tomorrow in Burlington at 5:30pm with fireworks to follow. The indie-pop group has hit hard with their debut Love Letter Home that sold out it’s release party and has been getting incredibly positive feedback from blogs and playlist highlights.

Oh Geronimo and Emma Van Dyk will share the Mill’s Hardware stage with The Lifers next Friday, July 7th. Tickets are only 10$ (catch ‘em while they’re hot!) and doors open at 8pm. Oh Geronimo is another Burlington-based group that is steadily grabbing attention everywhere after their success as a Top 25 national finalist in CBC Searchlight last year as well as completing a Canada-wide tour after their debut release. With new material on the way, this band is one to keep your ears peeled for.

We chat about the details of all their upcoming gigs as well as find out the dual meanings behind ‘Souvenirs’ for both Emma and Oh Geronimo’s tracks. Noah gets beat in trivia and confesses a tragic truth about Tim Horton’s roll up the rim cups. Catch up on cfmu.ca or listen to the full interview below.
