The best way to step away from the daily grind is to come on by The Grind every day
If you’re looking for a place to go to relax with a cup of joe, or to cram for that final exam while powered up on espresso and delicious snacks, or just to meet somewhere on campus that isn’t under florescent lights…you’re looking for The Grind.
The Grind, located beside TwelvEighty Bar & Grill, is owned and operated by the McMaster Student’s Union. It was designed by McMaster students, and is run by McMaster students, for McMaster students. That’s why they make sure to offer the best coffee on campus, for the best price.
Accessible at the bottom of the stairs nearest Union Market, The Grind serves quality crafted beverages along with a unique menu featuring baked goods, hot sandwiches and crêpes. The beverages include fabulous premium teas and coffees. Its assortment of espresso, chai lattés, and cappuccinos are all made with 100% Arabica beans. Their crêpes are the only ones available on campus, sweet and savory and made fresh to order. They would be second to none even if there was competition! All of the Grind’s baked goods are made fresh daily, in-house, from whole, wholesome ingredients.
The Grind is also a one-of-a-kind space on McMaster’s campus (check out the photos for proof!). Warm, welcoming, and wired up for all your power, USB and internet needs. Come alone and study, come with friends to hang out, come and have your group meeting over a cup. You’re welcome to hang around, and once you’re inside, you’ll want to.
McMaster has a lot of food and beverage options for its students, but only one of them feels like this one. The best way to step away from the daily grind is to come on by the Grind every day.
