Rose Cora Perry & The Truth Untold at Open Streets on Barton
It was November 2019 at the now defunct Hamilton rock venue, This Ain’t Hollywood, when Rose Cora Perry & The Truth Untold took to the stage for their last gig of the year and unbeknownst to them, their last gig for what would be several more, on account of the impending pandemic.
This Sunday July 16, Perry’s band is thrilled to be returning to The Hammer for the first time since covid to rock the free community festival, “Open Streets on Barton”, presented by the Barton Village BIA.
Returning for its third year, Open Streets on Barton aims to bring the community together and promote local businesses and organizations. Running from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm this Sunday, beyond its live music offerings, the event includes community activations, a kids zone, community outreach resources, a curated vendor market and business showcases.
Perry and crew will hit the outdoor stage at 1:50 pm, which is located at the corner of Barton Street East and Leeming Street, beside St. Matthew's House. The band’s touring lineup includes Hamilton-based session bass player, Jessie Taynton.
Further, In support of their hit single, “Not My Time”, The Truth Untold is presently on tour throughout their locale of Southwestern Ontario with select US dates this summer.
